Turkey exported 36,900 tons of wire rod in January 2026, down 33pct YoY, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Exports also more than halved compared with the previous month, when shipments totaled 77,500 tons.
Romania remained the largest destination, importing around 12,500 tons, followed by Australia with 9,500 tons.
