Turkey exported approximately 413,400 tons of wire rod in the first five months of 2025, down 4pct YoY, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Romania was the largest importer during this period, taking in about 154,000 tons. Bulgaria followed with roughly 30,100 tons, while Australia ranked third with around 28,400 tons.
In May 2025, wire rod exports surged to about 77,000 tons, up 89pct compared to May 2024 and 61pct higher than the previous month, marking a strong monthly rebound.
