Turkey’s wire rod exports reached approximately 572,000 tons in the first seven months of 2024, marking a significant 98pct increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Romania was the top export destination with 175,000 tons, followed by Bulgaria with 48,200 tons and Australia with 38,000 tons.
In July 2024, wire rod exports totaled around 44,000 tons, a decline of 55pct compared to the previous month and 13pct lower than in July 2023.
