Turkey’s wire rod exports totaled approximately 766,000 tons in the first ten months of 2024, marking a significant 47pct YoY increase, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Romania was the largest export market, receiving around 237,500 tons, followed by Bulgaria with 67,000 tons and Australia with 64,600 tons.
However, in October 2024, wire rod exports fell sharply to 30,700 tons, a drop of nearly 70pct YoY and over 70pct from the previous month.
