Chinese special steel producer Xinji Aosen Steel Group has issued the Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) for a Kocks RSB 370++/4, marking the successful completion of its new state-of-the-art SBQ rolling mill in Xinji, Hebei Province. The RSB, fully integrated into production, is central to the company’s entry into Special Bar Quality (SBQ) straight bar production, supporting its push into the high-end steel market.
The mill, designed for 700,000 tons annually, uses Kocks’ 3-roll technology to produce SBQ bars with superior dimensional accuracy and consistency. The scope also included automated stand and guide adjustment, a complete roll shop package, and the BAMICON Octopus system, which streamlines roll shop operations.
Installed after 21 H/V stands, the RSB rolls straight bars ranging from 20 to 90 mm onto the cooling bed. With commissioning complete, the project delivers high-precision, future-ready SBQ products for demanding applications.
