Yongfeng Group has awarded Fives a contract to design and supply annealing furnaces for new strip processing lines at its upcoming steel facility in Linyi, Shandong province, China.
The project will include the installation of three Stein Digiflex annealing furnaces for two continuous galvanizing lines and one continuous annealing line. The new plant will produce a range of high-grade steel products, including automotive sheets and advanced high-strength steels.
The vertical annealing furnaces will feature Fives’ AdvanTek combustion system, designed to improve energy efficiency, enable fuel flexibility and reduce emissions. The lines will also incorporate the company’s FlashCooling rapid cooling technology, which allows precise control of cooling rates and temperature cycles while enabling the use of high-hydrogen atmospheres.
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Shandong province, Yongfeng Group is a diversified Chinese industrial conglomerate with a core focus on steel manufacturing. The company has an annual steel production capacity of around 10 mln tons, producing products such as rebar, wire rod, steel structures and SBQ grades including bearing steel.
