Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the world’s largest single-site aluminium smelter, has signed a strategic partnership with China’s Shandong Innovation Group (SIG) and investment firm BlueFive Capital to enhance collaboration across the global aluminium supply chain.
The agreement, signed during Gateway Gulf 2025 in Bahrain, aims to explore opportunities for joint investment, knowledge sharing, and strategic alliances spanning upstream smelting to high-value downstream products.
Alba said the partnership brings together its large-scale smelting expertise, SIG’s advanced alloy manufacturing and material innovation capabilities, and BlueFive Capital’s cross-border investment experience between the GCC and Asia.
