Pakistan’s Amreli Steels reported a net loss of PKR 1.87 bln (USD 6.7 mln) for the first half of the fiscal year 2025 ending December 31, 2024, a sharp decline from the PKR 632 mln loss recorded in the same period the previous year.
The company’s net sales dropped by 60.5 pct YoY to PKR 8.8 bln (USD 31.4 mln) during the period, according to its financial statement.
In the fourth quarter of FY25, Amreli Steels posted a net loss of PKR 881.3 mln (USD 3.14 mln), widening from the PKR 459.5 mln loss in the second quarter of FY24. The company’s quarterly sales also fell nearly 60 pct YoY to PKR 4.57 bln (USD 16.3 mln).
Amreli Steels maintains an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons for billets and a rebar manufacturing capacity of 605,000 tons per annum.
