Morocco’s National Ports Agency (ANP) has launched an international tender for a 30-year concession to develop, equip, operate, and maintain a new shipyard at the Port of Casablanca.
The facility will include a dry dock measuring 244 meters by 40 meters, a 150-meter by 28-meter lifting platform with a 9,000-ton capacity, and a 62-meter by 13-meter dock equipped with a 450-ton strap gantry. Additionally, it will feature fitting-out docks with a combined length of 820 linear meters, all spread across a 21-hectare site.
According to media reports, French naval contractor Naval Group and South Korea’s Hyundai, operator of the world’s largest shipyard in Ulsan, are among the frontrunners for the concession.
