Aramco has announced the start of construction on the Aramco Stadium in Al Khobar, which will have a seating capacity of around 47,000.
Scheduled for completion by 2026, the stadium will serve as the home ground for Aramco-owned Al Qadsiah Club and a key venue for the AFC Asian Cup in 2027, which Saudi Arabia will host.
The project is being developed in collaboration with Roshn, a major national real estate developer and subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund.
