ArcelorMittal has completed the sale of its Bosnian steel and mining operations to H&P d.o.o. Zvornik, part of the Pavgord Group. The transaction includes ArcelorMittal Zenica, an integrated steel plant, and ArcelorMittal Prijedor, an iron ore mining facility supplying the Zenica plant.
The sale, first announced in June following a signed agreement, comes after a strategic review in which ArcelorMittal concluded that divestment would better support the long-term growth of the businesses and their employees.
ArcelorMittal Zenica has an annual production capacity of 1 mln tons of long steel products.
