South Korea’s Doosan Enerbility has won contracts worth around USD 248 mln to supply steam turbines and generators for two combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant expansions in Saudi Arabia.
The company signed supplier agreements with the EPC joint venture of Tecnicas Reunidas and Orascom for two major projects: the Ghazlan 2 Expansion and the Hajar Power Plant Expansion.
The agreements cover the delivery of steam turbine and generator packages for both sites. Each power plant is planned to have a 2,900 MW capacity and will be developed in phases through 2028. Both sites are located approximately 400 kilometers northeast of Riyadh.
