Drydocks World has secured a contract from Modec Management Services Pte. Ltd., a global supplier and operator of offshore floating platforms, to refurbish and extend the life of the FPSO BAOBAB IVOIRIEN, the company announced.
The eight-month project will start in May 2025 at Drydocks World’s Dubai yard. Scope of work includes 1,000 tons of steel renewal, 250,000 square meters of tank coating, installation of 11,500 meters of piping, accommodation upgrades, and integration of advanced technologies to boost efficiency and reliability.
The upgrade will extend the vessel’s service life by 15 years, supporting continued operations in West Africa.
