Turkish pipe manufacturer Erciyas Celik Boru has secured a USD 32.5 mln pipe order for the third phase of a major container port expansion project in the Adriatic Sea, the company announced in a stock exchange filing.
Having already supplied pipes for the first two phases, Erciyas Celik will complete shipments for this order within the year.
While the filing did not disclose the port’s name, the company stated that upon completion of the expansion, the facility will become the largest container port in the Adriatic Sea.
Erciyas Celik Boru specializes in producing steel line pipes, with diameters ranging from 10″ (273.1 mm) to 160″ (4,064 mm), and an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons.
