Pakistan’s finished steel imports saw a sharp increase in February 2025, reaching 326,859 tons, a 70.7pct YoY rise from 191,481 tons in February 2024, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
On a monthly basis, imports grew by 2.24pct compared to January 2025.
For the first two months of 2025, total finished steel imports climbed 61.5pct YoY to 661,049 tons.
