Turkey exported approximately 386,000 tons of HRC in the first two months of 2025, marking a 40pct increase compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Italy was the top destination, importing 82,000 tons of Turkish HRC during the period. Spain followed with 56,000 tons, while Egypt received 46,300 tons.
In February alone, HRC exports surged to about 263,000 tons, up 60pct YoY and a significant 113pct increase compared to January.
