Turkey imported 652,000 tons of HRC in the first two months of 2025, reflecting a 2.3pct decline compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
China remained the leading supplier, accounting for 243,000 tons, followed by Russia with 165,000 tons and South Korea with 79,000 tons.
In February 2025 alone, HRC imports totaled 227,000 tons, down 10pct YoY. The figure also represented a sharp drop to 46.7pct from January.
