Turkey’s HRC imports totaled approximately 3.3 mln tons in the first 11 months of 2024, marking a 16pct decrease compared to the same period last year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
In Jan-Nov 2024, China was the leading supplier, delivering about 1.6 mln tons of HRC, an increase of 9.2pct year on year. Egypt followed with 568,000 tons, and Russia supplied 437,000 tons.
In November 2024, Turkey imported around 366,000 tons of HRC, a 30pct increase year on year and a 33pct rise compared to the previous month.
