Interpipe wins pipe supply contract for Italian infrastructure project

Ukrainian steel pipe producer, Interpipe has secured a one-year supply contract for an infrastructure project in Italy, the company said in a press release.

Under the agreement, Interpipe will supply 2,600 tons of steel pipe for foundation works along the Mediterranean Core Corridor, a key transport route linking seaports in southern Spain with eastern Europe. The company has already delivered around 25pct of the contracted volume.

The order covers multiple pipe dimensions, ranging from 114.3 mm to 244.5 mm in diameter, with wall thicknesses of 8-25 mm, produced in S355J2H steel grade. The grade is widely used in bridge and structural applications due to its high strength and low-temperature toughness.

Interpipe said the customer requested pipes cut to specific lengths, enabling more efficient production of piles and micropiles for construction works. The company added that the contract strengthens its position in the Italian construction market and could lead to further opportunities as new infrastructure projects are developed.

Interpipe is a global supplier of steel pipes and railway products, exporting to more than 50 countries through a network of sales offices across Europe, North America and the Middle East.
