JSW Steel reported an 8pct YoY increase in consolidated crude steel production, reaching 2.27 mln tons in May 2025.
In India, output grew 9pct YoY to 2.194 mln tons, despite a planned maintenance shutdown at the Dolvi plant, which temporarily affected capacity utilization, bringing it to 80pct. The blast furnace was successfully restarted on May 30, 2025.
Meanwhile, JSW Steel USA-Ohio produced 79,000 tons during the month, marking a 7pct decline compared to the same period last year.
JSW Steel, a major player in the integrated steel industry, boasts a total capacity of 29.7 mln tons per annum in India and the USA. The company aims for further expansion, targeting a total capacity of 38.5 mln tons per annum in India by FY25 as part of its next growth phase.
