Turkish steel producer Kardemir has significantly lowered wire rod prices by USD 10 per ton compared to its price list on December 19, 2024.
The updated price for 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade wire rod is now USD 590 per ton EXW, while 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod is priced at USD 580 per ton EXW, according to the latest announcement.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company’s product portfolio includes blooms, billets, rebars, profiles, and various other steel products, with manufacturing facilities strategically located in Karabuk.
