Turkish steel manufacturer Kardemir has announced its sales allocation plan for the period from July to September 2024. The company has increased allocations for billet, rebar, and profiles compared to the previous quarter, but has decreased the wire rod sales allocation on a quarter-on-quarter basis.
According to the official statement, Kardemir plans to offer a total of 248,000 tons of billets, 162,000 tons of rebar, 88,000 tons of wire rod, and 118,000 tons of profiles during the third quarter of 2024. The company allocates 30pct of its products to its shareholders, granting them preferential purchase rights.
Karabuk Demir Celik (Kardemir) was established in 1938 as a state owned company and Turkey’s first integrated steel producer. In 1995, the company was privatized. It offers steel products, such as blooms, billets, rebars, profiles along with other steel products.
