Saudi Arabia’s Mutlaq Al-Ghowari Company for Contracting Limited (MGC) has secured the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the Jubail-Buraidah Independent Water Transmission Pipeline Project, the company announced in a LinkedIn post.
The project features a 587-kilometer carbon steel pipeline designed to transport up to 650,000 cubic meters of desalinated water per day. It includes two main pumping stations and a dual-direction flow system to enhance operational flexibility.
In addition, the project will deliver a robust water storage network comprising 11 strategically located reservoirs across Jubail, Al-Shimasiyah, and other sites, offering a combined storage capacity of 1.63 mln cubic meters.
