Saudi Arabia’s Miahona has announced that it has been awarded a contract to develop an industrial wastewater treatment plant in Jeddah’s 1st Industrial City, as per the company’s filing with the stock exchange.
The USD 266 mln contract was awarded by the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (Modon).
The project involves the rehabilitation, development, construction, operation, and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems. It includes capital investment, land utilization, service provision, and revenue generation through the sale of treated water. The contract follows a rehabilitation, operation, and transfer model, with a duration of 25 years.
