Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded a contract for the construction of direct access points to Dubai Islands from Bur Dubai, as announced in a press release.
The USD 214 mln project includes a 1,425-meter bridge with four lanes in each direction. The bridge will span Dubai Creek, connecting the Infinity Bridge and Port Rashid Development area.
In addition, the project includes a dedicated pedestrian and cycling track, with elevators for easy access. Surface roads extending 2,000 meters will connect the bridge to existing roads on both sides of Dubai Islands and Bur Dubai.
