Pakistan imported 292,630 tons of scrap in April 2025, reflecting a significant YoY increase of nearly 59pct, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
On a month-over-month basis, scrap imports rose by 4.27pct compared to March 2025.
During the first four months of 2025, total scrap imports reached 1.02 mln tons, up 11.27pct compared to the same period last year.
