Vallourec secures OCTG contracts for offshore projects

Vallourec has signed a series of contracts to supply oil country tubular goods (OCTG) for offshore projects in Indonesia, the company said.

Two contracts signed in February 2026 cover 14,000 tons of OCTG products and form part of a broader package of five contracts totaling approximately 36,000 tons. The materials will support oil and gas operations across around 140 wells in the region.

The projects are primarily located in deep offshore environments, requiring high-performance tubular solutions capable of withstanding elevated pressure and challenging operating conditions.

Vallourec will supply premium pipes and connections, including its VAM 21 technology, designed to ensure reliability in complex applications. The products will be heat-treated and threaded at the company’s subsidiary in Indonesia, supporting local processing and supply.

Headquartered in Meudon, France, Vallourec operates in more than 20 countries, with key production hubs in the US and Brazil. The company is a global leader in premium seamless tubular solutions for the oil and gas industry, with annual production capacity of 2.1 mln tons. Vallourec operates through two main segments: Tubes, which accounts for around 90pct of revenue, and Mine & Forest, which includes an iron ore mine and eucalyptus plantations in Brazil supplying charcoal as a renewable reducing agent for its blast furnace operations.
