Voestalpine has selected international technology group Andritz to modernize the electrical and automation systems of a hot-dip galvanizing line at its steel mill in Linz, Austria.
This processing line, operational since 1973, produces high-quality galvanized steel strip and has undergone numerous upgrades over the years, leading to a mix of different electrical and automation systems.
Andritz will streamline these into a unified, user-friendly system to enhance operational efficiency. The modernization will be carried out in stages to minimize production disruptions, with the project set for completion by the end of 2028.
