Turkey exported approximately 336,400 tons of wire rod in the first four months of 2025, marking a 13.5pct YoY decrease, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Romania emerged as the top destination for Turkish wire rod during this period, receiving around 125,000 tons. Libya ranked second with approximately 26,700 tons, followed by Bulgaria with about 24,000 tons.
In April 2025 alone, wire rod exports totaled around 48,000 tons, representing a 17pct increase compared to April 2024. However, exports fell sharply by 74pct from the previous month.
