Turkey’s wire rod exports declined in the first quarter of 2025, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Total exports reached approximately 288,600 tons in Q1, marking a 17pct YoY decrease. Romania was the leading destination, receiving 124,800 tons, followed by Bulgaria with 24,200 tons and Italy with 18,800 tons.
Despite the quarterly drop, exports in March 2025 surged to 185,650 tons, up 36pct compared to March 2024, and showed a significant jump from just 47,000 tons in February.
