7 Steel Nordic Manufacturing has shipped its first batch of steel products to a customer in the Czech Republic, marking the start of a new market channel for the company. The material was produced at its rolling mill in Mo i Rana, Norway.
The initial shipment comprises around 1,200 tons of reinforcing bars and coils and represents a trial delivery as the company seeks to expand its presence in Europe.
The move forms part of a long-term strategy under Czech owner Sev.en Global Investments to develop the Czech Republic as an export market for reinforcing steel from Mo i Rana. Preparations included a homologation program in the fourth quarter of 2025 to meet local technical and regulatory requirements. The current shipment, produced in the first quarter of 2026, is the first delivery under this initiative.
The company expects to gradually build its presence in the Czech market as production increases in the coming years.
The expansion also supports Sev.en Global Investments’ strategy to introduce low-emission steel into new European markets, in line with growing demand for more sustainable construction materials.
Further shipments are expected as 7 Steel Nordic develops a long-term supply channel between Norway and the Czech Republic.
7 Steel Nordic Manufacturing, formerly Celsa Armeringsstal, is a leading producer of long steel products in the Nordic region, based in Mo i Rana, Norway. The company is part of the 7 Steel Nordic group, acquired by Sev.en Global Investments in 2025, with combined capacity of around 2 mln tons across Nordic and UK operations.
