EMSTEEL, the UAE’s largest steel and building materials producer, has enhanced its data analytics and reporting capabilities by adopting Microsoft Fabric, aiming to improve operational transparency and decision-making efficiency.
Microsoft Fabric is a cloud-based analytics platform that integrates data engineering, data warehousing and business intelligence tools into a unified environment.
Facing fragmented data across multiple systems, EMSTEEL implemented the platform to consolidate data sources, automate workflows and reduce reliance on manual reporting. The integrated environment enables real-time insights across production planning, sales forecasting and performance monitoring.
The company said the move has improved cross-department collaboration through standardized dashboards and self-service analytics, helping shorten reporting cycles and enhance data accuracy.
Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, EMSTEEL has annual production capacity of 3.5 mln tons of steel and 4.6 mln tons of cement. The group exports to more than 70 markets, representing around 30pct of total sales, and produces wire rod, rebar, heavy sections and sheet piles.
