Voestalpine wins major orders from aerospace sector

Voestalpine has secured aerospace sector orders worth around EUR 1 bln (USD 1.1 bln) over the next five years, marking the largest such order volume in the company’s history.

The contracts include Airbus and cover a broad scope of supply, ranging from high-performance materials and complex forged components to global logistics services.

Production will be carried out at Voestalpine’s facilities in Kapfenberg and Murzzuschlag in Austria, as well as at its Brazilian subsidiary Villares Metals.

The company will supply bars, sheets, plates and special forged parts used in aircraft structures, engines and landing gear. The orders include nickel-based alloys and forged components for widely used aircraft platforms such as the Airbus A320, A330 and A350 families.

Voestalpine said demand for short- and medium-haul aircraft continues to support growth in the aerospace segment.

The group’s high performance metals division provides advanced materials designed to withstand extreme temperatures, mechanical stress and operational loads, supporting critical aerospace applications.

Voestalpine is a global leader in steel and technology, with operations in over 50 countries and a market-leading position in railway systems, tool steel, and special sections.
