Indian pipe manufacturer, Jindal Saw Limited has reported disruptions to its Middle East-linked business in Q4 FY26, as the ongoing regional conflict has affected exports, logistics and operations.
The company said a significant share of its exports is directed to the MENA region, and the conflict that began in February 2026 led to logistical constraints, forcing shipment delays and a decline in export sales. Force majeure clauses have been invoked by contracting parties, while the closure of key maritime routes across the region has further disrupted supply chains and impacted operations at its Abu Dhabi facilities.
In the UAE, Jindal Saw Gulf LLC reported deliveries of around 48,000 tons of ductile iron (DI) pipes in Q4 FY26, down from approximately 52,000 tons in the previous quarter. The subsidiary’s order book also declined to about USD 180 mln (171,000 tons) as of March 31, 2026, compared to USD 235 mln (215,000 tons) in the prior quarter, reflecting the impact of regional disruptions.
Despite near-term challenges, the company continues to advance its UAE expansion strategy. A new seamless pipe manufacturing facility is being developed in the KEZAD economic zone in Abu Dhabi through its step-down subsidiary, with land secured and initial orders for long-lead equipment already placed.
Regionally, Jindal Saw is also progressing projects in Saudi Arabia, including a joint venture pipe facility and a planned ductile iron pipe project, with land identification and initial capital infusion completed. The company noted that these projects remain in the development phase and have not been significantly affected by the ongoing conflict so far.
At the group level, Jindal Saw reported a standalone order book of around USD 1.317 bln for pipes and pellets, with exports accounting for nearly 29pct of total order book value, underlining the continued importance of overseas markets, including the Middle East.
Headquartered in New Delhi, Jindal SAW operates manufacturing facilities across India, the US, Europe, and the UAE, producing SAW and spiral pipes for energy transport, seamless and alloy pipes for industrial applications, and ductile iron pipes for water and wastewater projects. The company also runs a low-grade iron ore mine and beneficiation plant in Rajasthan, India.
