Brunton Wire Ropes has switched its Jebel Ali Free Zone factory in Dubai to solar power through a capital expenditure-free agreement with regional renewable energy provider X-NOOR.
The on-grid solar installation is already generating electricity and is projected to deliver 15.4 GWh over the term of the agreement, helping the company reduce grid electricity consumption and the carbon footprint of its operations.
The project was completed under a lease arrangement, allowing Brunton Wire Ropes to adopt solar power without upfront capital expenditure. X-NOOR provides turnkey renewable energy solutions to industrial and commercial clients across the region.
Brunton Wire Ropes FZCO is based in Jebel Ali Free Zone and is part of the Usha Martin Group. The company supplies steel wire ropes and rigging solutions to more than 37 countries, serving sectors including oil and gas, construction, ports, elevators, marine and general engineering.
