Hyundai Steel integrates H-beam business under new brand

Hyundai Steel has launched H ONE, an integrated brand covering rolled and welded H-beams, as it seeks to expand its presence in high-value construction markets, including AI data centers, semiconductor plants and large logistics facilities.

The brand combines the company’s rolled H-beam (RH) and built-up H-beam (BH) product lines. Hyundai Steel aims to expand beyond its established RH business into BH products and strengthen its supply of customized steel solutions for projects requiring larger cross-sections and non-standard dimensions.

RH products are formed by rolling semi-finished steel into the required shape and size, offering consistent quality and production efficiency. BH products are manufactured by cutting and welding thick steel plates, allowing greater flexibility for project-specific structural requirements.

Hyundai Steel has selected 130 core BH specifications to broaden its product offering. The company also established a dedicated unit for power infrastructure, including AI data centers, earlier this year and has secured steel orders for seven data center projects.

Demand for specialized structural steel is growing as data centers require materials capable of supporting heavy server equipment, cooling systems and power infrastructure. Hyundai Steel said H ONE would serve as an integrated solution brand for customers seeking rolled and welded H-beams.

Hyundai Steel, a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, is one of South Korea’s largest steel producers, manufacturing a wide range of flat and long steel products for the automotive, construction, shipbuilding and machinery sectors.
