    ArcelorMittal implements leadership transition in key South American divisions

    ArcelorMittal has appointed Everton Negresiolo as CEO of its South American Long Products and mining business and a member of the group management committee, effective April 1, 2025. He will report to Aditya Mittal, CEO of ArcelorMittal.

    Everton succeeds Jefferson de Paula, who is retiring after 34 years with the company. Jefferson joined ArcelorMittal in 1991 and held several senior leadership roles, including COO of Acindar, CEO of ArcelorMittal Europe Long Products South Division, and CEO of the South American Long Products and mining business since 2011.

    Everton, who joined ArcelorMittal in 2010, has held senior roles across procurement, logistics, supply chain, and sales. He became CEO of Acindar in 2020, Vice President for commercial and metallics in 2023, and CEO of South America Long Products in June 2024.

    Additionally, Jorge Luiz Ribeiro de Oliveira, currently Vice President and CEO of ArcelorMittal South America Flat Products, has been appointed Executive Vice President, effective April 1, 2025.
