EMSTEEL Group is developing the UAE’s largest industrial solar PV rooftop project in partnership with Yellow Door Energy, the company announced. The 31.5 MWp solar installation, spanning 40 rooftops, aims to reduce emissions and enhance operational efficiency.
Scheduled for commissioning in 2026, the project is expected to cut CO2 emissions by 16,000 tons annually. Yellow Door Energy will finance, construct, operate, and maintain the solar system.
EMSTEEL CEO Eng. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi described the initiative as a key milestone in the company’s decarbonization strategy. He emphasized that integrating on-site solar power reinforces EMSTEEL’s leadership in sustainable manufacturing, aligns with the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 vision, and sets new standards for green steel production.
