Turkey’s wire rod exports saw a steep decline in the first two months of 2025, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Between January and February, exports totaled approximately 102,000 tons, down 52pct YoY. Romania was the top destination with 41,700 tons, followed by Australia with 8,300 tons and Libya with 7,500 tons.
In February alone, exports dropped further to 47,000 tons, a 67pct decrease compared to the same month last year and a 15pct decline from January.
