Turkey imported approximately 212,000 tons of pig iron in the first two months of 2025, marking a 26pct YoY decline, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Russia remained the top supplier, delivering nearly 133,000 tons, followed by Indonesia with 47,100 tons, and Kazakhstan with 26,000 tons.
In February 2025, pig iron imports saw a significant drop, falling nearly 70pct YoY and 67pct month-on-month, highlighting a sharp slowdown in demand or supply.
