SWEP, a leading supplier of brazed plate heat exchangers (BPHEs) and part of Dover Corporation, has introduced CO2-reduced steel as an option for customers aiming to lower the carbon footprint of their heating systems and heat transfer projects.
The CO2-reduced steel is sourced from suppliers who optimize supply chains, use renewable and low-carbon energy, minimize production steps, and incorporate higher recycled steel content. Despite these sustainable changes, the steel maintains the high quality and heat transfer performance for which SWEP products are known.
This option, available in Europe, is initially offered in BPHE ranges used in residential and commercial applications, the company said.
SWEP provides ISO-verified CO2 calculations (ISO14067) to help customers assess the total product footprint for their systems. SWEP, part of Dover Corporation, is a global leader in BPHEs for HVAC and industrial applications. Dover is a diversified, multi-bln-dollar manufacturer of a wide range of products for industrial and commercial use.
