Pakistan’s scrap imports reached 280,635 tons in March 2025, marking a YoY increase of 10.82pct, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). On a month-on-month basis, imports were up 17.9pct compared to February 2025.
Despite the March rebound, total scrap imports for the first quarter of 2025 edged down slightly by 0.14pct YoY, totaling 732,496 tons.
