State-owned Energy Development Oman (EDO) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China’s Jiangsu Changbao Steel Tube Co. to explore the development of a cutting-edge Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) manufacturing facility in Oman. The initiative is part of EDO’s ongoing commitment to boosting local content and strengthening the country’s manufacturing capabilities within the energy sector.
In a statement, EDO emphasized that the partnership represents a strategic step toward sustainable economic growth through international collaboration.
Established in December 2020, EDO plays a central role in optimizing efficiencies and driving growth across Oman’s energy sector.
