Amreli Steels, one of Pakistan’s leading steel manufacturers, reported a significant increase in losses for the first nine months of fiscal year 2025, ending March 31.
The company posted a net loss of PKR 2.85 bln (USD 10.1 mln) for the period, more than double the PKR 1.298 bln loss recorded in the same period last year. This sharp decline comes amid a steep drop in revenue, with net sales plunging 61pct YoY to PKR 12.91 bln (USD 45.87 mln).
Amreli Steels maintains an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons for billets and a rebar manufacturing capacity of 605,000 tons per annum.
