    Lamprell appoints two new non-executive directors

    UAE-based offshore fabricator Lamprell has appointed Ahmed Alaredhi and Philippe Barril as non-executive directors to its board, the company announced.

    The appointments will enhance the board’s expertise in engineering-led EPCI project delivery and strategic growth in global energy markets.

    Ahmed Alaredhi brings over 25 years of experience in project management and engineering design, specializing in large-scale projects across Saudi Arabia and internationally. He has held senior leadership positions at Saudi Aramco and served as CEO of the Makkah Region Development Authority.

    Philippe Barril has more than 30 years of experience in the offshore energy sector, with key leadership roles at Technip, SBM Offshore, and most recently as CEO of Heerema Marine Contractors. He currently holds advisory and board positions at two energy companies.

    Lamprell is a major service provider in the international energy sector, renowned for its expertise in constructing intricate offshore and onshore process modules and platforms, as well as the fabrication and refurbishment of jack-up rigs and liftboats. Lamprell’s primary facilities in Hamriyah, UAE cover a sprawling area of approximately 750,000 square meters, including over 1.2 kilometers of quayside. The group has also established facilities in Saudi Arabia through a joint venture agreement.
