Hydnum Steel and Kingspan Group have announced a partnership to advance green steel use in the construction sector, aiming to reduce emissions and promote sustainable building materials.
Hydnum Steel, headquartered in Puertollano, Spain, is a green steel pioneer in the Iberian Peninsula and Southern Europe. Under the collaboration, Hydnum’s Puertollano plant will supply 100pct green flat steel to help lower the carbon footprint of one of the most emissions-intensive industries, the companies said.
As outlined in a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the two firms will also work together to optimise logistics and develop circular economy solutions for ferrous scrap, reinforcing their shared commitment to environmental stewardship and efficient resource use.
