AMPO Poyam Valves, a global leader in highly engineered valve solutions, has been selected to supply specialized cryogenic valves for the Maximizing Ethane Recovery and Monetization (MERAM) project, one of Adnoc’s key strategic initiatives to enhance ethane recovery and monetize gas resources.
As part of the contract, AMPO will deliver 116 cryogenic valves in 2025 and 2026. This includes 68 valves larger than 12 inches and 48 valves smaller than 12 inches, with several reaching diameters of up to 24″, 30″, and 36″. These valves are engineered to perform under extremely low temperatures, ensuring maximum safety and reliability in the ethane recovery process.
The project, valued at USD 3.6 bln, was awarded to the joint venture between Tecnicas Reunidas and National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) and will be executed in the United Arab Emirates. The main facilities will be located at the Habshan 5 gas processing plant in Abu Dhabi.
