Pakistan’s Beco Steel Limited has successfully completed its first export shipment of copper ingots to Hong Kong, China, the company announced in a filing to the stock exchange.
According to the company, the copper ingots were extracted from remeltable scrap sourced from its raw material stream. Beco Steel views this milestone as a promising step toward expanding its export footprint and expects continued growth in its international trade operations.
Lahore-based Beco Steel Limited is a public limited company incorporated in Pakistan in 1984. The company’s annual melting capacity is 99,400 tons and rerolling capacity is 99,000 tons per annum. The company produces billets, angles, channels, round and square bars.
