Toyota Tsusho Corporation has completed the full acquisition of U.S.-based Radius Recycling, Inc. through its subsidiary, Toyota Tsusho America, Inc. The deal was finalized on July 11, 2025, making Radius a wholly owned subsidiary.
Based in Portland, Oregon, Radius is one of North America’s leading recycling companies, with over 100 facilities across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. Its operations include automobile dismantling, metals recycling, and an electric arc furnace steel mill in Oregon. In 2024, the company processed around 4.5 mln tons of ferrous and 0.3 mln tons of non-ferrous materials, including 660,000 end-of-life vehicles and 500,000 tons of finished steel products.
Toyota Tsusho aims to leverage Radius’ extensive network and innovative recycling technologies to enhance its closed-loop supply chain and support decarbonization in global manufacturing. The acquisition strengthens the company’s focus on recycled materials and green steel, aligning with its broader sustainability and automotive supply chain goals.
