Diriyah Company has awarded a USD 600 mln construction contract to Salini Saudi Arabia, a subsidiary of the Webuild Group, for the development of the Diriyah Square retail precinct.
The project includes the construction of 73 buildings and 400 shell-and-core retail units across a built-up area of 365,340 square meters. The scope also covers facades, finishes, and fit-outs.
This is Webuild Group’s third major contribution to the Diriyah Square project. Salini is already progressing on the construction of a 10,500-space underground car park, one of the largest in the world, and is also completing structural works for all above-ground assets, including retail spaces, hotels, branded residences, offices, and a grand mosque.
